Austin Craigslist is a great resource. This website is used by many people and businesses to find work and employees, find material goods like furniture, and source specialty products that you might not find on the market. Unfortunately, scammers have made it difficult for many to fall for the traps. These scams can be very costly and many people have lost thousands or hundreds of dollars to them. Here are five money-scams you should be aware of if you plan to shop on Craigslist.

1.The iPhone scam

iPhones can be very expensive, especially if you buy them brand new. For a few hundred dollars or more, many people choose to purchase older iPhones from private sellers. Austin Craigslist: One Austin Craigslist man was trying to purchase an iPhone for his wife. After paying $560 for an iPhone, he thought he was getting a great deal. He and his wife discovered that AT&T had suspended their account. They then found out that the iPhones they purchased were stolen. He was able meet again with the scammer to recover his money and more. The entire interaction was also captured on video.

2. Austin Craigslist Rental scam

It has become a major problem in Austin Craigslist, where scammers are being bolder in their approaches to renting. Because Austin is expensive, many renters have to consider other options. If you find a property you are renting for less than the professionals say, it is a sign to be concerned. Many people claim to be renting properties they don’t own. It is easy to get money orders or arrange meetings with people who are desperate to rent a property at a lower price. Don’t pay for something you haven’t seen in real life. You could be the next victim.

3. Austin Craigslist Paypal Scam

Craigslist scammers are using another resource in a way that is inappropriate and abusive. Paypal allows users to send money directly via an exchange platform that doesn’t require credit cards or direct debit. To get their money, many scammers use Paypal in Austin. Scammers will try to trick people unfamiliar with the Paypal process. They will attempt to convince you to sign up to Paypal if you’re selling products. After money has been wired, the subscription sends emails to you. Scammers using Paypal will try to get you the wire transfer email, but not the money.

4.Austin Craigslist Vehicle Sales Fraud

People often sell their cars to private companies without any problems. If you plan to sell or buy cars on Austin Craigslist, however, you need to be more cautious. Scammers have found a way to make easy money by tricking Craigslist users. Some buyers will search for cars and then overpay by hundreds or even thousands. If someone is looking to buy a car, this should be a sign that they are serious about your product. If they ask for a refund, you will know it is a scam.
